It will be good to check this to make sure your pre-registration request was received and to also check out the competition, if I missed you please register again. Don't take this pre-registration as "written in stone". Over 1/3 of the teams do not register until Friday, most of those late Friday. There are always some teams who just show up too. So what you see here is a representation of the teams that will be playing.

2009 BEACH PASSES

Beach passes will be available this Sunday at the beach (C gate I think) If you are coming in and are buying a beach please don’t pay the $7 or $8 to park… Just tell them you want the beach pass. Beach passes are $25 (at least they have been for the last few years) and are good for the entire year at all city beach parks.

Weather info will be updated on message board and GCVA phone at 832-928-4120. Be sure to check it before you leave to go to the beach. (Teams listed on this page are updated daily - manually.) Be sure to call in, there is a $10 late fee for all teams that do not PRE-REGISTER. If you call in, and no show, you loose all call in privileges for the year (Please see below).

REMEMBER We are playing on a REAL BEACH on the Gulf of Mexico. We are subject at all times to mother nature (The GOOD and the BAD, normally more good than bad) The GCVA Recorder at 832-928-4120 and the message board at www.gcva.net are updated by 5AM - Tournament Day. Earlier if possible but at least by 5AM.

Be sure to call in, there is a $10 late fee for all teams that do not PRE-REGISTER.

CALL IN Privileges: We have to know how many teams are playing, how many nets to set up, how many teams in each pool, if divisions are full or not etc. If at least one player from the team cannot at least call us and say you are not coming (we don’t care why, just IF you are coming or not), then both players will loose their call in privileges for the year PERIOD. I will enforce this policy to the fullest starting now. March 7, 2005. All you have to do, if you register and have to drop out, is 1. Call anytime before the 830AM the day of the tourney – if I do not answer just leaves a message. 2. Email us before 3AM the day of the tourney. 3. Have someone who is coming to the tourney just tell us you are not coming (before 8:30AM). In other words, if you registered and can't make it, please let us know so we are not waiting on your to show up.

Save yourself some $$$$$$

Daily Parking fees at Stewart Beach are now $7 a car, Get your Beach Parking Pass M – F (9AM- 5PM) at the Galveston Park Board of Trustees office at the corner of 25^th & Church in Galveston for $25 and you get to park free for the whole year. Park on any of the City Beach Parks and you can come and go as much as you want the whole year with the $25 beach pass.

There is also some free parking around or at Brodies and the East Gate at Stewart Beach if you don't mind a little walk. You can also pile as many as you want into a single car and still pay the $7 a car.
